About Titilayo Okuwa

Titilayo Okuwa is an emerging multi-skilled student journalist at Florida A&M University. She is currently interning at WCTV Eyewitness News, a CBS affiliated television station serving Southwest Georgia and the Big Bend of Florida.

Previously, Titilayo began her involvement in student media with WANM 90.5 FM,  as the host of "SGA Talks" where she learned valuable skills that prepared her for an internship at WFSU Public Media.

At WFSU, Titilayo reported state and local news on radio and online to the Florida panhandle and Southwest Georgia. She also volunteered with News 20 at Five, a student-run newscast at Florida A&M University, reaching potentially 80,000 households in the South Georgia and North Florida area.

She was afforded the opportunity to intern with the Gillum campaign for governor, and sponsored by Yale’s Students for a New American Politics to work on Aftab Pureval’s Campaign for Congress in Ohio. These opportunities sparked her desire to contribute to the dissemination of political information through reporting of political news and commentary.
